So here I am again... not doing my school work.

Anyway I had a fairly good weekend. There were a few things I'd rather forget... somewhat similar to the ocean city trip. In any event most of it was resolved thanks to a phone call from Laura... a phone call I didn't expect and immensely appreciated. Now if the other party would just come forward and say a few words to me I could put this whole thing behind me. Anyways... the good stuff.

Friday laura came over to work on a school project but people kept coming over and the whole thing quickly evolved into a sort of pseudo-party in which we drank and played rock band. Fairly good time

Me, Tim, and Bryan head over to another one of tim's work parties. Started off slow and sorta embarrassing but thanks to some Talking Heads, a 40 something year old gay man, and some reds it turned out pretty awesome although it might not have appeared to an outsider...or anyone but me. It was fairly funny because over the course of the day I had become more and more obsessed with the song Once in a Lifetime by the Talking Heads and that obsession came to a head (pun not intended) at that party when I was preforming some of the dance moves from the music video and someone exclaimed "THATS MY FAVORITE SONG" and a militia quickly formed and stormed the attic. After ransacking and burning most of the upstairs we found the talking heads cd and listened to that song with extreme pleasure. The anticipation was phenomenal and I would have surely died if it had not been played.

Me and Tim went to Belle Isle. I had never been and Tim promised me Shadow of the Colossus type adventures. I was not disappointed. There was some pretty intense rock climbing and then some abandoned hydro-electric plant climbing. The second was pretty dangerous and frightening in retrospect. Which isn't to say I won't do it again cus I hope to... hopefully next time in the presence of a camera. The whole thing also made me want to revive the order of the hook more as well. Tim also expressed interest in it and has some sites in mind already.

So once again I've decided to "blog" as it were. And once again I've chosen this Xanga account mainly because I've had it for so effin long that it'd be a shame if I ever forgot about it.

So to bring the internets up to speed, I've moved to Richmond... living with Tim, Bryan Benn, Ben Paget, and Jeff Metzger. It's a pretty cool place even thou there's still shit everywhere because we haven't unpacked everything.

In other news this whole living situation is fucking hilarious because of Tim and Bryan who are the two most absurdly funny people.

Our water got turned off for some reason and won't be back on till thurs... which blows seeing as the majority of the food I have (cup of noodles and oatmeal) require water to make.... not to mention the whole bathroom/shower situation. So dire straights for a few day BUT WE WILL PERSEVERE!!!...although a little smelly... and in the end isn't thats what being college is all about??? living in poor conditions dicking around with your friends? oh that and spending a ridiculous amount of money to buy a degree that is required by modern society.

Whatever I'm eating at an awesome restaurant tonight so whatever.

My brain has been mush because this is the end of the semister and for some WEIRD reason I have about one metric fuckton of work.

And I dont know if you know about me writing for the independent paper EXPUSION but I have been. And the other day i got an email and it was so good to read it.

Hey Nathaniel-
I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your peices the past couple of weeks-it's been a while since we've ran any kind of gaming piece, so the subject matter is welcome. You also have a good sense of writing style, as the overall technical quality of the piece was better than the average first submissions to Expulsion.
That being said, I wanted to see if you were at all interested in being culture editor next year. The job does take a little bit of time, but it is not by any means overwhelming. Also, I'm not dropping off the face of the earth-I will be around to get you started/trained/comfortable/anything else you need, as will the rest of the current staff throughout your duration. I think you would be good for it, but no pressure or anything-if you're too busy, or if you'd rather just be a staff writer that's totally awesome.

so I hope that turns out well....

Summer looms its sweaty head and I cant wait for it. After this week i doubt i could do anymore school work. WHich works out cus this is my last week of school.

But i'm dying now cus I'm working on a 10 page paper (2 pages actually written) which i'm writing about Language and Culture in The United states. This is a highly ambiguous paper subject (which is why i chose it) and so far I've mostly written about the effect of trade on language and culture.

I'll probably keep you posted on this shit

Many belive it was fashioned by The great Forge-King Gragnakas... They couldnt be farther from the truth. The Darkspur is but a fragment of a larger spur, warring without end against the Lightspur. The earliest reference to it can be found in the largely apocryphal Bleak Futures fragments. I can assure you that no mortal agency brought about this hideous barb!

Once again things are totally sweet!

I'm up to reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phonix!

There was a party at brians sat night which was cool, except I had to come after work so by the time I got there practically all the booze was gone and I only got 2 shots of whisky. haha it's alright cus Brain promised to have another party and save me a bottle of vodka.... he even went so far as to promise absolute none of that sky CRAP! haha anyways I ended up taking robotussin and had a good time :). Except for this weird kid named kevin or keath or something. He kept walking around the pool naked and was practically devoid of body hair (I think he shaved it all) besides his nakedness he was also being extremly lewd and I think that if he stayed much longer I would have been forced to defend some lady's honor.

Later when everyone was sleeping me and Ali ended up staying awake and giggling about everything.

here are the highlights

Ali: "i'm so thirsty"
Me: "do you want me to go get some water?"
Ali: "no, that's ok...i just wish that i had a cactus right here. then i'd cut it open and drink it."
Me: "you could have wished for a bottle of water, but no, you wished for a cactus."

Eventually I did get some water from upstairs but the smallest cups I could find were like 1/2 gallon size.

Me: "I can fit my entire mouth and nose in this cup...AND MY EYES!"

Ali: "wouldn't it be funny if derek didn't know where babies come from?"

one of my favorite parts was still when I had said something and then Derek had said

Derek:"Word"
Me:"Are you awake?"
Derek:"ZZZZZZZ"

it was perfect timing

also I took pop-tarts from upstairs and brian's little brother is really gross so like we thought it'd be funny if the pop-tarts were coverd in crisco cus THAT KID DOES STUFF LIKE THAT!

I can't wait till tomarrow...excuse me "tomorrow" evening because ali's comming over and mom is making STEAK! We're going to see if we can trick my mom into letting her stay over... it's going to go something like

Me:"Mmmmmm that steak was REALLY good....but man am I tried"
Ali:"ME TOO!"
Me:"In fact it'd be dangerous to try and drive Ali home"
MOM:"OK she can spend the night"
